    • Thank you for reading my blog and for your compliments, Richard. Your bulbs have garnered a lot of attention and readers around the world were interested in purchasing them. I did post the link on where people can find them. I think they will do very well when ou find a distributor in the US. Will these bulbs re bloom like regular amaryllis bulbs?

    • Hi Dedy,

I came to do my perio residency at The University of Pennsylvania from Canada. Met my husband there and ended up staying in the US. I did my DDS at The University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. I was a professor at U Penn for 3 years. I am now retired. How about you? Johanne

      • Hi Johanne, I came across your name in an old address directory from college years and then found your lovely website. Hoping you remember me from UWO and Saugeen-Maitland. Tracey

      • Good morning Tracey! Thank you for reaching out! So exciting to hear from you. What have you been up to since our days at Western? As you read on my blog I live In PA now. I came to U of PA to do a post doc in 1990 and met my husband, an American here and stayed for love! 4. Nice to read your blog. i’m also a French Canadian and we share both the same name Joanne ! Where are you from exactly in Canada ? Me, Chaudière-Appalaches ! Nice blog !

  6. Hi Johanne, It sounds like we share a lot of similar interests including gardening and cooking. I also have 3 grown children. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog so I found yours!

    • It sure is and I love how so different the geography in AZ from where I live. But I don’t think I could be there in the summer. Our friends are hoping to retire there full time so we may get to try other seasons too. Are you in the Phoenix area?
